Understanding Addiction and Developmental Disabilities

Welcome to “Understanding Addiction and Developmental Disabilities,” a specialized curriculum for people living with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD), and substance use disorders. 

Before you start, review the facilitator’s guide and screening questionnaire.

The curriculum consists of 14 short videos and 14 curriculum sheets that you can use to review the material you have just viewed. Remember to move at the pace of the person you are working with who has an I/DD. If you need to watch a video more than once or review the material several times, that’s OK.

Treatment takes time, and “Understanding Addiction and Developmental Disabilities” was designed to be easy and flexible. Good luck!
